Volunteer
Getting involved in others' lives can be the most difficult and rewarding experience of your own. BASIC is looking for individuals who are committed to helping others, both next door and around the world. We believe that working together with our brothers and sisters in the US and Ghana is a transformative experience for everyone involved, and we want to provide that opportunity for anyone who wants to get involved.
If you feel led to use your gifts to help others around the world, we would love to help you get started on that path. If you are a student or recent graduate interested in helping BASIC in the US or in Ghana, please contact us at basicghana[at]gmail.com.
If you're an experienced professional in any field, we can use you. So far we've used teachers, farmers, businesspeople, engineers, lawyers, pastors, designers, and others. We can find a way to use you.
If you have the blessing of free time, there are many ways to get involved. You can help us inventory and pack crates of textbooks and school supplies. You can hold an event to raise awareness and funds for the poor in Ghana. You can help us build our website or make a video to help us tell the story. You can go with us to Ghana for a few weeks to work and build relationships. You can stay in Ghana for a few months (or longer) working on specific projects.
